The 20th annual SAPG juried show details are almost all confirmed.
Opening June 1st at Art SA Gallery, the show will be juried by John
Johnston the Coates-Cowden-Brown Curator of Asian Art for the San
Antonio Museum of Art. Johnston’s research interests include Chinese
porcelain and ceramics, Buddhist art, jade and the history of
printing; he speaks locally, nationally and internationally on these
and other topics.
Entries for the show will need to be delivered to Art SA Gallery at
108 E Mistletoe on Saturday, May 25th. All pieces not selected for
the show will need to be picked up later that day. The entry forms
and additional details will be coming in the next few months.
We still need a few volunteers to make
this show a success. At least one more able bodied person with a
truck to help transport pedestals to and from the gallery is
required. Also a culinary aficionado, to coordinate the goodies at
the opening with Art SA will be needed. Let us know if you would like
to fill one of these slots or otherwise volunteer for the Juried Show
Committee. It should be another great SAPG event.
